Avalon Waterways revolutionised river cruising in 2011 with the launch of its first Suite Ship, introducing wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows and outward-facing beds, innovations widely adopted across the industry but first pioneered by Avalon.

Today, its award-winning Suite Ships sail Europe, Asia, South America and Egypt, with 80% of staterooms dedicated to Panorama Suites, approximately one third larger than those of competitors. Slide-open windows create an open-air balcony effect, maximising the scenic river experience.

The Avalon philosophy centres on flexibility, offering open dining, à la carte menus and the Choice Excursions programme, with Classic, Discovery and Active options available at every port.

A comprehensive fleet refresh completed between 2024 and 2026 introduced Starlink connectivity, redesigned Sky Decks, upgraded fitness facilities and expanded cycling provisions, reinforcing Avalon's position as the choice for active, design-forward river cruising.
